A two-time national Emmy Award Winner and a Creative Specialist, who has worked on promotional campaigns and broadcast projects for Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, and Arena Football. Over the past decade he has also created video presentations, VNRs, and sizzle reels for agencies such as Taylor, Edelman, Saatchi & Saatchi, American Express, Meow Mix, GlaxoSmithKline, and Reebok. During his tenure at SportsNewsSatellite, a National Sports News Feed Service, Bacchia produced and edited Sports Highlights and Video News Releases for hundreds of television stations that subscribed to the service, including NBC and CBS Newspath and was involved with editing Len Berman's "Spanning the World" segments for NBC's Today Show. Bacchia has also been involved with dozens of Network programs as lead producer, video editor, and writer. During the course of his tenure at Major Legue Baseball Productions, he served as head writer of "This Week in Baseball" and contributed to hundreds of high profile broadcast and documentary projects for syndication and cable outlets such as MSG Network, SportsNet New York, HBO Sports, and ESPN. He has written scripts for legendary sportscasters such as Mel Allen, Jack Buck, Vin Scully, Dick Stockton, Doc Emrick, and Harry Kalas and has also crafted a sports biography about legendary National League Umpire Augie Donatelli.
John resides in Leonia with his wife and two children and has served as president of the Leonia Lions Club and is recipient of the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for his contributions to humanitarian causes.
